Caught at the intersection of infinity
Earth’s conception began
“Without form and void”
Matter brought forth // our Earth is formed
At the intersection of infinity
Time as we know it began ticking
Capturing eternity in a fragile snow globe
Still being shaken from time to time
At intersection of infinity we appeared
Formed, created, or evolved we are here
Birthed by an intercourse in time
Just as every living thing that followed
Was born…
At the intersection of infinity… Love was born!

Amaya at d’Verse asked us to look at birth as our prompt and write a poem incorporating some aspect of the word. I have been mulling this one around for a while and this seemed to be a good time to put it in words.

I love your poem, Dwight. That last line ties it up with a beautiful bow ❤

Yes, I believe we are much more that just matter condensed!

The repetition is so effective in reminding us that much of what happens in nature and what we experience has happened before. I love the idea of ‘Capturing eternity in a fragile snow globe
Still being shaken from time to time’.

Thanks Kim! I was hoping for something different to make people think! We are just a blink in the bigger scheme of it all!

I really like your repeated theme, “intersection of infinity”…the cosmos can only be traced back to infinity (which I believe is a personal Being). Written differently than your usual style , I think 🙂

I ditto Lynn’s comment. ‘At the intersection of infinity’ is a thought so well expressed that it stays in with you. Makes you think about infinity and the point of time it all started and where we are now.

I love the thought of us being part of this creation constantly being born.

Indeed, Dwight. Your poem relates just about everything I was trying to say years ago when spiritual awakening was first taking form in myself and I felt this cosmic life in my whole being and felt I was going to burst. True evangelism. I used an email back then, eternal orgasm at gmail or something like that. But most thought I was just into lust and sex. No, my fellow aliens: the never-ending birth of Love!

How interesting! Thank you so much for sharing this with us. It is interesting how an insight can be triggered, that changes how we look at everything! It is really interesting go let your mind wonder/wander into places most don’t go!
