Rich Impressions

Down the street at 1033
red hibiscus flowers grow;
Climbing up the mailbox post…
Putting out blooms for a day
before wilting away.
Rich red hues in morning sunshine…
show the world that one day of beauty
is enough to remember for a lifetime!

Today at d’Verse, Kim asked us to think about the many ways we us the word rich in our everyday life. We were to choose one of the definitions and write a Quadrille of 44 words.

  1. So vibrant – both flower and quadrille, Dwight! I’d love to grow hibiscus in our garden but it’s just too cool and damp here. I didn’t realise they only last a day, but as you say ‘one day of beauty is enough to remember for a lifetime!’

  2. We have several plants here with short bloom cycles; but several days seems to be the norm. Butterflies have short lives too, yet look what beauty they share with us.
