Ancient sea beds convulsing // rise into tall peaks
born of mud and salt water // as ancient stories
exposed slowly wear away // inevitably
with earth’s constant climate change // not controlled by man

a remarkable piece of geology in these lines Dwight – such an enjoyable read and that opening has great impact from depths to height.
p.s. I had to smile at the ergonomic bra advert that accompanied this

I apologize for calling you by the wrong name, Dwight! I think it’s time for me to make like a little old lady and go to bed.

Climate change and continental drift… most rocks has probably been through many cycles from mountain to sea.

A topical Imayo, Dwight, raising an important issue with aplomb. The word ‘convulsing’ is very effective in describing the state of the ancient sea beds and comparing them to ancient stories.

Rocks have so much to tell us. It shows us that change will happen again and again! Thank you Kim.

Those ‘convulsions’ that took millennia to accomplished were the natural ones we can marvel at today. The unnatural high-speed convulsions that we are provoking, nobody is going to marvel at, I fear.

Beautifully done, Dwight, and also sad and frightening to think of the what humans have done.
(Your poem works as a cleave poem, too.)
