These beautiful flowers grow wild along my little garden fence. This year they came up under my bird feeder. There were light blue ones as well. They are so beautiful and last only till noon. They make me smile every morning when I open my shades. Who would think of calling them weeds?

Sometimes “weeds” have just as beautiful flowers as any cultured plants. I feel very blessed to have them.

Beautiful photos of beautiful flowers! Lovely haiku in their honor!
I relate more to the wildflowers and flowering weeds than I do to roses! 🙂

You’re welcome, Dwight. It just occurred to me that my mother and my grandmother both held wildflowers in high record.

Great, Dwight, that you appreciate the beauty and colour and not the bother of its presence

Thank you Hank…I love it. I also let the sunflowers grow that come up from the bird feeder droppings. They get the most beautiful sunflowers on them.

My grandmother, Ged rest her soul, had the most beautiful morning glories that grew on the end post of her clothesline. Thank you for taking me there again!

A lovely homage, Dwight! I agree – what are weeds after all but simply wild flowers that didn’t ask permission to grow? They bloom regardless. Lovely photos too ❤

Thank you Merril. They are really beautiful. I notice they are like 4 o’clocks, they open in the morning, close and then opening again the next morning. Hope you survived hurricane Ida without damage.
