Today, at the d’verse~Poetry Pub, we have been asked to write a Quadrille (44 words) using the word leap. Check out the d’verse site at: https://dversepoets.com/
Today, the first day January 2018
I remember
On the steps of the the Ad Building
You captivated me with your innocent smile
In 1969, as America took the leap
Landing men on the moon,
We planned our leap of faith
Vows lasting a lifetime

A leap of faith… consisting of countless steps, missteps, and re-steps, no doubt! You are blessed.

Yes, you summed it up well! It takes work and a lot of give and take, but it is worth it all!

When I did premarital counseling, I told couples, “Never say, ‘We are married.’ Say instead, ‘We are doing marriage.’ Do instead of be, or you won’t be!”

I like it… Marriage, an action verb!

Always is, was, and will be! Like teeth, ignore your marriage and it will go away.

The best kind of leap. Nothing ventured, nothing gained as they say. I do agree that marriage is like a live document, ever-changing and should never be taken for granted. Congrats!

I would say your leap was one for mankind, even more so than the step onto the moon. May you and your wife be blessed with much more joy to share.

Wonderful photo of the two of you and the impressive leaps that you take day after day, And that moon landing, I remember watching it so well, in a hospital room with one of my patients.
