Over the years I have enjoyed collecting dried up seeds from my flowers. I save them for replanting the next year. It is most interesting to see how the crosspollination affects them. I have found some interesting mutations such as this Zinnia that appeared this year with two flowerheads on one stem. I find the color shades change also as well as the flower petal development. Marigolds are wonderful for seed saving and watching the changes. This is the first time I have seen a double flower on one stem in my Zinnias.

Zinnias have always been my favorites. Especially the big round ones with all the petals. Childhood memories, perhaps.
