Summer Colors

DSC_0280 (3)

It is wonderful to see all the birds in the summer feathers. Bright colors are in vogue again for this year. Very striking as they flash in the sunshine!

Daily search for food

Hanging on as suet cake spins

Summer colors bright

Christmas Visitors

EER_1103

Christmas is all about visitors. Mary and Joseph, the baby Jesus, Shepherds, Wise Men all visitors in the Christmas story. These were my beautiful visitors on this Christmas day.

Black and white adorned she comes

All looking for food

Bold is Beautiful

EER_0620

Shinny and bright with a new coat of feathers

Red bold and fabulously beautiful

Nature’s fashion show

Unmatched anywhere

EER_0621

He knows you’re watching perched on the edge

Doesn’t mind showing off for anyone who will watch

And who can blame him

He steals the show

EER_0622

Enjoying the moment with a beak full of seeds

Taking advantage of food eating all he needs

Fluffing his feathers to keep his balance

Being bold doesn’t necessarily mean graceful

EER_0623

Just look at those sleek lines so well defined

With that metallic red coat he’s sure to shine

Like an new Maserati straight out of the showroom

Bold and beautiful glistening in the sun

Primping

EER_0888

I have the most beautiful female cardinals in the woods behind my house. The orange accents on the beak and tail remind me of the bright lipstick that Taylor Swift always wears. This morning I got to watch a young one primping on the branch of the willow tree at the edge of my yard. It was really special to watch all the different moves she had as she fluffed and primped. I got my camera and snapped several photos. See what you think!

Definitely Poetry in Motion!!
