Nature’s bending exercise
My personal weight loss program

I am not a big fan of exercise, but I do love working in my garden. It is something I have done for many years. Although my garden is getting smaller as I get older, I still love getting my hands in the dirt and seeing the plants grow and produce. This is the kind of exercise I can get into.
I am posting this for Michele’s “What Moves You” challenge. We are to post a photo and a written response to show how we keep moving and stay healthy. You can read more about it at her Word Press site My Inspired Life.

The BEST kind of work.❤️

Your garden looks to be starting off well. What method do you use to keep down the weeds?

I have been hoeing them away, but I need to get some mulch when they get a little bigger.

In the battle of the weeds, we always come out on the losing side.

You are right. Catch them when they are tiny!

Thank you for joining us, Dwight! Your post moves on many levels. 🧑🏻🌾🌱 Love it! 💚 I am with you… the best form of exercise is moving the body with things that bring you joy! Gardening does that and it feeds you too! 😊

Wonderful, Dwight. It is good exercise, too.
I love gardens and fresh vegetables, but I do not like gardening at all. 🙂

Not the one for personal bending and diggingi must prefer the wordk done by a good gardener. But. I love flower gardens. I would sit for hours making crochet or embroidery. Though at age 73 poetry is what i do most now.
Happy to have heard you read today Dwight.
Much💖love

I find regular exercise very boring. I’d rather be moving dirt or gardening, such as you are doing.

It does seems meaningless. Like a hamster on a treadmill! I love gardening and working outside.

You would get along well with my son Dwight. He’s in his early early 40s so his garden keeps getting bigger 🙂 I really loved what you read this morning — Saturday morning. I’d love to see that in print, that was that was so beautiful. It really moved me. I love the way you took the approach of “paint me” and in all those wonderful places. Choked me up a little. 😢 Thanks for reading that my friend. 🙏🏽
Sorry I didn’t have the energy to read mine a little better today.😕

Same. I’ve got mostly flowers in my garden and succulents right now, but I think I’ll do pumpkins again. My sweet nephew loved when we grew them last year.

And the rewards you get to reap from such bending and moving is tremendous. What a blessing. I love 👩🏻🌾 👨🌾 gardening. I plant flowers. Husband tends to the veggies. We could spend hours at this.
So happy I read. 🤜🏼 🏆 🤛🏼

It’s good to get your hands in the dirt. I think I’m going to stick with flowers as the raccoons were eating more of my stuff than I was. Congrats on the win, Dwight!😊
