Perhaps we should be more like the pear tree
Eager to show itself in first taste of winter warmth
Enduring the cold dark days knowing in time…
The exact time, we will open joyfully for all to see
*
Or maybe like the daffodils impatient for winter’s end
Emerging in the cold dark light of a translucent sun
Pushing up through the dead of winter with bold confidence
Overcoming the fear of the dark and of cold frosty fingers
*
Exuding yellow sunshine while pear blossoms shine overhead
Rising in unmatched splendor reminding everyone to come out
Join together with us in choking off winter’s last raspy gasp…
in a glorious symphony of red buds, forsythias, and cherry blossoms
*
Our time is coming // to shine with unstoppable blooms of inspiration
Always filled with love waiting to burst forth when our time is right

Lovely photos and poem, Dwight! ❤ My sister in DC just sent me photos of a maple with its red blooms! I always look forward to seeing trees in bloom!
Oak trees around here bloomed and got new leaves in October, about three weeks after Hurricane Ian stripped them bare! Their little green tassels and bright new leaves were everywhere. They usually bloom in early February! Mother Nature is amazing! 🙂

Thank you, Cheryl. Nature is so resilient. The cycle goes on and we are ready for it at every season! The red maples are starting to show here as well! Glad you enjoyed it.

Nature inspires us, mere mortals, to go through difficult times and to live on and enjoy the preordained sunshine. .. your analogy is superb Dwight

Thank you, Will! I saw you got another winter blast this week. Hopefully it will pass soon and those Daffodil shoots will push up their heads in the sunshine! We will get some more cold weather, but only in passing! I appreciate your reading and commenting!

Our first blooming crocii and galanthus are now crushed under a crust of icy snow… We shall see how they rebound —along with all the other, amazingly hardy flowering bulbs!!!

They should be alright. The snow becomes and insulator for them.!

I am so glad this post lifted your spirit. There is too much negativity in the world to focus on that as a way of life. Hope is a much greater focus for me! Thank you so much for you kind comment, Karla!

Oh dear, I’m so over this winter season. It started early and the cold has been relentless. Thankfully, signs of the season change are finally here and I’ll once again be able to go to the grocery store in my mankini without feeling so frozen. Have a great day Dwight, and the days to come!

If we are open to being like nature, we, too, can be open and expressive in time with the changes. Beautiful words of truth, Dwight.
