This beautiful block print was done by my granddaughter and given to us as a Christmas gift. If you look at it, you can see both a positive and negative rose. This is just like life. Sometimes the roses shine bright and are easy to see. Other times they may be dark and harder to see. I believe it is important to understand the relationship between the two.
Life’s bright roses bloom
While shadows linger nearby
Thorns keep us careful

Hello Dwight .. I’m still holidaying at my brother’s in Ballarat.. and he has set up his lap-top with my WP acc. so things are easy for me to do comments now … I’ve been using my phone which is quite difficult to use with my arthritic fingers … I suppose this is a case of “the positive and negative” .. I hope you’re having a wonderful festive season .. cheers Dwight

Seeing the negative is the secret of great artists. You might enjoy reading “Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain” if you haven’t read it already. It’s an amazing book for any artist and would be great for your granddaughter too! 😁✨👌

It is really an amazing book that can transform your skill level, easily and dramatically. Don’t skip the exercise on drawing your own portrait. You will need it to show what your skill level was before reading the book and then another portrait after reading and learning what the book taught you. Well, with the investment of $$ and time. 😁✨👌

What a beautiful piece of art by Molly! And your Haiku poem is the perfect pairing! Such an important message. You should print out your poem, frame it, and place it next to the block print for all to read.
