Are you sure he is grumpy? I have’t met a grumpy one yet. I think he is asking you something and waiting for you to engage in a conversation.

My wife said the same thing! You are right they just sing their hearts out! I needed a title to catch your attention. His curved down beak does give a sad image to me.

I wish we had some songbirds here right now. Only pesty magpies left. They’ve chased all the songbirds away. The robins went south for the winter.

The Magpies are much like our blue jays here. Sad you don’t have them in winter. A lot of our birds stay for the winter.
