You can click on the d’Verse link at the end of my poem. Copy the link you have here. Click on the Mr. Linkey box… Then put you name and paste your link in the url box… Also click the little box as well. Hit enter and you should be in… It should show up purple on the list. Click on your name and see if it takes you to your poem. Thank you.. have fun.

Love your blue painting and poem! You have captured that mood perfectly. I guess we are all a little blue sometimes. My father taught me the old saying, “Laugh and the world laughs with you. Weep, and you weep alone.”
All the best, Dwight! β€

Thanks Cheryl! I am glad you enjoyed my post. Your father was right! So many people are living with a hole of blue sadness in their heart and no one knows as the world rushes by! Have a great day!

Thank you Liz. Not quite a Haiku and not quite a Tanka… just a short simple poem that says it all!

Short and sweet and oh so blue, Dwight, with effective juxtaposition of βstatic holeβ in the heart and life pulsing by. I love the painting you chose to illustrate it.

Lovely tanka, perfect accompaniment to your painting. What size is the painting? I’m guessing its quite large?

I believe it was only 20 x 24. It would be a wonderful large 4′ x’5′ Thanks for your comment!
