Which road will take us back home
Night’s blanket surrounds
Red taillights shine in the night
Crossroads always bring questions

True. Crossroads, in both literal and figurative sense, bring questions in life.

I got lost in the thought of the poem, that I didnβt notice is was a tanka. Lizβs eagle eye did. Youβre welcome, Dwight.

Yes, crossroads do bring questions. We’ve been at many in our lifetimes, haven’t we” Do you look back and wonder what would have happened if you’d gone left instead of right?

Once in awhile, but there is not much future in going there, so I let it pass!

They do! Important questions!
Just to grateful to live where we can ask questions, have choices, and make choices. π
And when we come upon the “detours”, “long waits”, etc., in life…it is often in those times we learn the most and we grow! π
Great poem and photo, Dwight! π
