A private canal rideTourist canal boats carry you where you want to go!The garbage scow picked up our ships trash! The Norwegian Pearl slowly leaves portLife on the Canal
Beautiful boats and travel memories. They seem to have perfected the way to exist with the boats, what with that garbage scow doing active duty. I think you had also made an earlier post of people who settled for life on boats, not sure if it was Amsterdam.
The open air bright sightseeing boat looks such fun!
I think it originated from NYC where they used to load the city garbage onto a big barge and take it out to sea and dump it into the ocean! Not too many fans of that any longer!!
Thank you very much! The boats were most interesting! I had so many photos after this trip that I have been able to do quite a few posts without duplicating too many!
Such a variety of boats! I’ve never seen a garbage scow before.

They pulled right along side our ship and they threw our trash into the big tub of a boat!

Yes, the earlier post was on people who lived on the canal boats.

The variety of boats on the canals was so interesting, with big ships in the harbor to sightseeing boats to canal boat living.
