Watching change taking place in my lifetime makes me conclude that it doesn’t happen quickly. Seems like paradigm shifts are happening all around, demanding immediate changes in society. History shows us it may take awhile.
Ocean’s white head slams
Against solid rocks of time
Change happens slowly

White foam creates a big splash
Hard heads take time to erode

Dwight, the poem and the photos are a perfect match. Lovely post! All the best, Cheryl

Thank you Liz! Day after day, year after year, with little to show for it….. it keeps relentlessly banging against those rocks.

Love the sea and live 13 miles from it I could spend hours sitting and watching those waves crash and crash again. Beautiful Shots! I will try to capture some in Maine tomorrow. π

So true! And such a good lesson for us to remember! Nature is always trying to teach us…always a good analogy of nature to our lives.
Great poems and photos, Dwight!
It’s good for us to keep doing what we can now, even if we won’t see the changes in our lifetime…the positive changes might come in time to benefit our kids, grandkids, etc. π Well worth our effort, time, “blood, sweat, and tears”. We mustn’t give up. π
HUGS!!! π
PS…What frustrates me is when I think something important has changed positively in our world…and then it’s seems people are taking steps backwards. π¦

Reminds me of a quote from Eisenhower, “Things that are urgent are seldom important, and things that are important are seldom urgent!” Thank you for your thoughtful comment!
