This past year, I taught my young 14 year old neighbor down the street to play the guitar. He learned very quickly and was soon playing as well as me. A couple of weeks ago he wondered if I could paint a 1970 Chevelle Super Sport for him. I told him to bring me a picture of the car and I would see what I could do. I finally finished it yesterday. He was very happy with it.

Nice job! About the guitar lessons, do you live in the Northeastern US by any chance? I want to learn. I had taken lessons years ago but my guitar was so big I could never get my fingers to hold the strings. I am going to learn now on my sons electic guitar since it is smaller.

No ⦠in the South East! NC Try learning on a Baritone Ukulele. It is tuned the same as the bottom four strings of a guitar. It might make the transition to the guitar easier!

Good to know, thank you! When I was reading this and I saw the word baritone my stomach turned. When I was in high school I told my band director I wanted to learn to play trumpet. He told me to learn Baritone first. Ugh, the thing was huge and not ladylike at all! Lol! I can do the Ukulele part though!!!

Yes, the baritone Uke should be just your size. I like the sound of it much better also!

What should I pay for one? Looking online they have a wide range. I hate to spend too much in case I don’t love it. I also don’t want to buy garbage and have to relearn it on a good one.

Thirty-five to Fifty is a good range. Check on Musicians Friend web site.

Is there a big difference between a soprano ukelele and baritone?
