Painting together
Thankful for son and grandson
Making memories
Each Thanksgiving reminds us
of blessings past and present
Frank Tassone’s Haikia prompt for today is Thanksgiving. As I was looking through my photo collection, I came across these pictures taken a few years ago. We decided to sit down together and all paint the same picture. Each one faintly resembles Looking Glass falls in the Pisgah National Forest in North Carolina. I am so thankful for all my children and the wonderful things they will do in their lifetime.

That is a great idea. My kids paint, well off and on so did the grandkids and my dad did before his stroke. I just started myself last year. All painting the same thing is an awesome idea.

When my kids and grandkids went to the paint studio they all painted the same thing and you could see the differences, but they were the same pictures. I didn’t do that with them.

What a lovely idea/memory! Thanks for sharing, Dwight.
All of your paintings are similar, but slightly different–I suppose something like the artists. š

By far… This is my favorite family tradition through generations I have seen. You should be awfully proud of you son & grandson for carrying on your tradition.

I was really touched by it. We don’t have enough (relationships) like that anymore. What you wrote and the pistcures you shared was truly special.

You know…I should arrange a day to get together with the grandkids and make something for Christmas. We’d have a ball and make a mess and take pictures so we can talk about it year after year. You are an inspiration!
