Giant spiders of steel haunt the Blue Ridge
And many mountains across the country;
Spinning their endless webs of twisted wire
Across peaks and valleys they endlessly stretch;
Glistening in the sunshine like silver threads
Shimmering with dew drops when it rains;
Full of power deadly currents of life.
Some with twenty-five thousand volts
From dams to cities across the way.
These giant colossuses spread their webs
Bringing energy and light to the darkest night;
Mountain Spiders’ webs already spun
Woven across the scars of the landscape;
Over rocks and hills with a never ending hum
Without them life as we know it would cease.

Any tips for gaining an audience of followers? I’ve hit a roadblock at 57 🤭 (I can take negative criticism. I think.)

I have found, for me, that reading and commenting on what others have posted is the best way to get to know someone and strike up and interest in each other, Just me!

Yes, Chuck is right! It takes time to read and respond to other people’s work, but it usually pays off. Also don’t forget the catagories and tags when you post. They will lead people to your post. Most important in my opinion, Keep it short and sweet! Many blogs I have seen have way too many words. Keep it concise to two or three paragraphs. Photos with your blog really are eyecatchers! Have fun! Do it for you…. that is most important.

If I could get 10% of the class you have gained, I would say I did it 🙂

I take a lot of photos everywhere and of everything even the insignificant. Later they become part of my blogs. I do not take photos for a specific blog, The get chosen later. One other thing I noticed in your blog that might help would be to increase the size of your font on your written posts. We older folks have a hard time reading fine print. I use a 12 or 14 font most of the time on mine!

Wonderful! Keep your site real and personal. People seemed to be drawn to the authentic rather than something you may have found somewhere on the web. Let us know who you are!
