Look in the Mirror
When you look in the mirror… Smile
Remember the person who smiled back at you
So many years ago when you were young
Remember the person who spent time combing hair
Working to achieve that suave killer look
Smile when you remember your skinny self
Tanned muscular abs smooth clear skin long beautiful legs
When you look into the mirror look past the wrinkles
The waddle under the chin those flabby arms
That once held a young lover
They’re still there made for new young loves
Your grandchildren wrap them tightly
When you look into the mirror… Smile
And the face in the mirror smiles back
Forget fifty sixty or seventy think thirty
Stand naked and remember it is not the sags
Not the wrinkles nor the flab but rather
The person inside that creates the smile
The smile you shared with everyone
One that caught the eye of a lover
The one that gave off magnetic attraction
That is the real you the irresistible
Remember every body ages
Changes
Grows old on the outside
When you look in the mirror
Let your mind be young
Let your thoughts be beautiful
Let the love you once had
Continue to be genuine
Don’t be superficial
Look deep and remember the real you
You are still in there
When you look in the mirror… Smile

I forget how I look without a smile, so I too look in the mirror and remind me to smile. Thank you for sharing.

Our beauty generates from within our soul, it isn’t just our appearance that makes us whole.
