I started writing poetry on a regular basis in 2013 when we joined an open mike poetry group headed up by poet, Kym Gordon Moore.  http://www.kymgmoore.com/ She was such an supportive and encouraging mentor for all of us. As a result of my connection with her and Tom Davis of Old Mountain Press, I continued writing poetry and started writing my memoirs. You can read all of my books on Amazon. com Kindle. ( just type my name into the search)

This past spring,  Kym offered to post my poetry book on her blog and wondered if I had a website to put with it. It was then that I began to pursue starting a Word Press blog which I started in June. I challenged myself to do one blog a day. This week I passed 200 posts and now have 337 followers. That may not seem like much to you who have been blogging for years, but to me it is a great accomplishment. I tell people I live on the edge of inspiration!

I just self-published a new 100 page book of poems from my blog. It is titled The Edge of Inspiration!  It is a wonderful and stimulating journey and I thank all of you for reading and commenting on my posts.

My word of advice is to write every day about everything that might inspire you. Nothing is to big or too small or too off the wall. Write every day!!  Start with one thought of inspiration. Write it down and the rest will come! Put it all down.  Then go back and edit!
